Elder admits to porn problem

It is hard for me to believe that some of these elders seemed to almost enjoy having the prospect of dealing with such a "problem" and "cleaning up" Jehovah's organization. After Brother So-and-so was dismissed the elders were talking about how the Slave is really taking care of us in these last days, Satan is so busy today, and on & on. I actually felt a little sick. It is getting harder for me to believe grown people can act this way. They are so disconnected from reality.

Sorry for this comment but I misread: Satan is so busty today

OK, what are the links to the sites that this elder visited. I need to know in order to judge if he is guilty of porn/ea or not.

Well, if his wife allowed him to blow the dust of her taco once and a while, maybe he wouldn't have had to take matters into his own hands. Pun intended. Sinus!!! That is exactly what an elder said when I told him my husband( not a JW) molested my daughter,Not exactly how YOU expressed it but with the same message!! If I give it when ever he wanted it. My hubby wouldnt have done it ---so your comment irked me

that comment irked me too.. when my ex commited adultry the ONE time the elders spoke to me was to ask if i 1. knew what was going on and for how long (stupid question) and 2. had i been " giving him his due".

aaaaaaargh.. he was getting it from me and her and was a happy fella for awhile. he still says to this day the stupidest thing he ever did was admit to doing it.. spoiled his fun.

doesnt matter what the wife gives or doesnt give.. men CHOOSE to cross the line to wrong doing. blaming the wife is just wrong.

Sorry about that! Thats not how I meant it. Basically from my experience both men and women in the JW's seem to have sexual repression. All I was saying is that it takes TWO for a marriage to work. have known many women and some men, though not generally, that withhold sex as a form of punishment. All I'm saying is that it seems he was not having relations at home and had to go elsewhere to satisfy his desires, right or wrong.

In your situation that is completely idiotic for an elder to say that. I would never condone molestation of a child because someone wasn't "getting it". In reality molestation of a child has nothing to do with sexual fullfillment but power.

Personally, I think sex should flow freely between a couple but many within the JW's fell it necessary to repress there desires making all the more painful for families. That and the plethora of laws about do's and don'ts in the marriage bed. Many JW elders wives, from my experience, use the 'ole body for what they want, many times bribing husbands for need to know info that was discussed in BOE meetings.

Sorry if I offended you, not my intention.

I apologize to you also and the many other posters to come. Perhaps my words were ill chosen. I admitt that men can be at fault, but come now, women have the "power" over men at the snap of a finger. For anyone interested there are only three things that have been programmed into a mans brain - primoridal.

    1). Sex

    2). Food

    3). Sleep

If you meet these three things you have one happy guy. Seriously though, I think men are more sex focused then women, and while women need a "companion", men seem to lean to the sex side more than anything. Sorry but thats just the way we are made.

Regardless, for a marriage to be healthy it takes two. It is appearent that the brother had issues, as well as his wife.

Thanks appoligy accepted((((HUGS))But I never punished my hubby with holding as some maybe did. Yes I agree sex is a beautiful gift if we use it wisely ......Now at my age I feel so sorry for the advice that is given over the poduim at the KH... I used to have wives calling me crying because the elders would tell them what they MUST not be doing & what their unbeliving husbands wanted.... I was considered a MUM so they would call to ask what I thought about it. I told them I gues it was up to their conscience -but I have seen a couple of black eyes enter the hall & they told me the old man gave them what they didnt want-a bashing.....

Why did he ask to speak before the entire body of elders and not just the PO or someONE else??? It is sad he believes to be doing what is expected of him in this matter. The BOE knows he is surly not the only elder watching porn. The whole congregation and every witness that knows him will find out, lastly through the elders wives. This will add to his wife’s decision. His "exemplary" elder’s family will be ditched or treated as a problem family from one day to the next. Poor family, I hope the sudden change in congregation status will serve as an eye-opener to at least one of them.
