Hi Robdar! Me too. Both times in my life I have even tried to make a move...well turned out disasters. Makes me think that I should not change too much with the times.
Hi Sparkplug! I agree--no need to change. Especially if it works. Any guy that I've asked out has fizzled after a couple of dates. Any man that ever dated me and eventually asked me to marry him pursued me first.
My girlfriends and I go around on this a bit. I join them once a year, maybe twice for a drink or a party because they have a much different approach to men. I personally could have lived without the humiliation of being turned down
A younger friend of mine met a guy at a bar and invited him back to her apartment. He came over, they smoked a doob and when she made a sexual advance, the guy asked her what she was doing. He then told her that guys are supposed to make the first move. He also told her that she turned him off by coming on to him like that. My girlfriend was stunned because she has read in every women's magazine that men find it a turn on for a woman to make the first move.
