So sorry, merry for you and your mom. Just don't let the assholes get you down. They should remember that Jesus touched the leper, healed the woman with a blood flow, did healing miracles/resurrections on non-Jews, and told the touching account of the prodigal son...all things they should remember if they are imitating Christ in dealing with DF'd people.

Your posts always make me think or make me smile. Your good example will be wonderful for your daughter to see.

    Love, Blondie

    Sorry to hear this news.

This is such a difficult time for you to go through. You can be an example to THEM with you unconditional love. When they are at their meetings you can tell and show your mom your love for her. Your daughter will lighten the load for you too. Children are so sweet(most of the time). Just treat them kindly and "heap firey coals on their heads" as the Bible says.. I am sure your loving personality will shine through and you can make peace with your mom. I wish my mom was still here. Keeping you and your mom in my prayers.

So sorry to hear about your mom. Yes the Dubs stupid shunning rules really can throw a wrench into an already lousy situation. Keep in touch.

just choke it back and deal later.

((((((((((((( Merry ))))))))))))))) so sorry hun....Don't waste one precious moment on anger with the religious zealots relatives. Spend all the time you can with your mom....make up for all those lost years.

Thinking of you, wishing you peace of heart and mind.

    Oh, wow!

I thought you had a summer flu from the subject line. That's going to be hard. I like Forscher's suggestions, seems like the easiest way to deal with a really tough situation.

I'm so sorry you have to deal with the extra strain of religious intolerance at a time like this. You'll have lots of people's thoughts accompanying you on the journey, Merry.

Awwwww, sweetie, no wonder you feel sick and shaky! I saw the header and thought you had the flu.

I'm sorry the news is so bad about your mom.

I'll just echo what others have said:

Try not to let the junk from the extended family get to you. Just focus on spending time with your mom.

Being with someone who is dying is very hard, but it is often a time of great love, too. I am praying that it will be a time of healing for the two of you, and that you will be able to look back and be grateful that you had these special days with your mom.

Are you driving? If so, please be extra careful! Your mind is full of so much right now, and your eyes may be blurry with tears. Take some deep breaths, slow down, and watch the traffic. Take care of yourself, too, ok? Simple things like good hydration and healthy snacks will help you be stronger emotionally.

You are in my prayers, dear!

wow, I was thinking you were dealing with a nasty cold or something...

This is incredibly sad, I am just so sorry about this.

Yep there has been some lost time, but the best case scenario is finding a peace with your mom.

And just remember for the jw numb nuts: karma can be a bitch. So leave it to God/dess (I think I remember reading we have pagans on the board).

    Many hugs
