The major concern regarding the new "anointed" is that they should be persons known by and approved by the inner circle to ensure that they will not rock the boat but rather perpetuate the WTS policies (that could possibly be decided by persons beyond the GB that act behind the scenes in secret) but surely spirituality is not a priority.
Just think when was it ever that a non inner circle man became a GB member, despite the prescence in the org of several thousand other "anointed"? -

And with the exception of one or two they were all, including Jaracz, born or baptised after the gates of heaven were closed in 1935. Ridiculous though that claim may be we can also see that the JWs are not consequential with it.

They play "Pin the Oracle" using an impressive photo of the former oracle Franz, they turn on the shikinah light in the GB Board room, take turns throwing dart at the picture. The darts all have candidates names on them. The one that hits the '666' on the forehead first gets the call.

I agree with Blondie.. that is how other elders are selected. Most of the time to be appointed an elder all the MS needs to do is go to every meeting, do every assignment he's asked to do, go out every single weekend in the ministry, and if he is single then pioneering helps him get appointed before age 30. If married with kids then generally 30ish is the age he will be appointed unless that cong has a need or he is somehow pioneering. Also helps if you kiss arse a lot especially during CO visit.
