I've travelled to the South several times........some of the foods I absolutely love, but others I really didn't care for:
grits collard greens ....biscuits and gravy ... fried chicken...peach cobbler... sweet tea
I think grits are totally tasteless. The only thing worse I ate was something horrific called Sawmill Gravy, which tastes like lard with paprika mixed in. It was without a doubt, the most revolting thing I've ever had.
On the upside, no one can cook fried chicken like the South can!! Yum, Yum!!..........and I absolutely love cornbread apple and peach cobbler and hushpuppies are to die for!!........
