My brother Darin and I are talking about driving up there for the day, so you can add us to the list as a "definite maybe" LOL

We will probably bring some drinks, or maybe a watermelon, other than that I dont know what else to bring, considering we are driving 3 hours away from Dayton Ohio.

Also Darin wants to know if the park allows pets, he wants to bring his dog Luke?

Let's go ahead and kick it off at 2pm. Will that work for everyone? If you'd like to show up early to help stake out a spot, just give me a buzz and we can find a place to meet if I haven't already found a spot worthy of our little 'fest.

Hey, couldn't we also boil some 'taters in with the corn? Kind of like a crawfish broil minus the crawfish. I can bring some new potatoes if that sounds good to everyone else.

Getting close now! Three more days...

(and for those planning on doing something afterwards, unfortunately I have to be in Grand Haven early Sunday morning for a vball tournament so I won't be able to stay out late - but don't let that stop you from having a blast without me!)

2 is great for me have you targeted a specific spot? I think the map is back on page 4.

Tim & I are going to try to make it......since I last posted I realized that the date was the same date as my Company picnic (which I actually do all the coordinating & planning - so I HAVE to be there) and that is from 11 -3. We also are having some family staying with us currently, and with a few other odds & twists, it is now going to be tight. As it stands, we are going to try to make it for awhile. It might only be me, or only Tim, or both of us....until he comes back into town (he travels quite extensively now) I cannot honestly say how we're going to put this all together. Frustrating to say the least.

    For what it's worth Jourles:

My husband and I used to live in the Wixom/Milford area and he is very familiar with Kensington as he would jog there quite often. He mentioned to me that you might want to call the Kensington office to see if you might be able to reserve a space. He was saying that Kensington on Saturdays gets really busy and getting a good spot can be hard.
I dunno if they reserve but it might be worth a shot.

    Pettygrudger:
    Looking forward to seeing you!

Well so much for fun. <sigh> With the returning Canadians from Lebanon starting tonight, we are on call till at least Monday as the planes come in.

BBQ in Michigan sounds a lot more fun.

I WILL get to an American fest yet!!!! Thanks for the offer Kwin.

Corn sounds good. If no one else pipes in, I'll get the corn for ya.

Thanks BSoM! US importing laws for agriculture are a pain, but I'm sure Canada's are just as bad.
