Miss Peaches, That's progress and great news about your mom. When my husband and I started going to a Christian church, my mom was upset, but she took it well since I voiced my doubts for years, then was inactive for months, then went to church. At first, she said she didn't want the name of the church mentioned in her presence. That was 2 years ago. Now she asks on a Sunday - 'How was Calvary?' (we attend Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale and love it) she even asks about the different ministries we have that help the community, she likes the thought of that. It is so tempting to bash the org to her but I make a conscious effort to emphasize the good, the joy, the christian freedom we experience. I can tell she's puzzled but I'll wait until she's ready to ask the hard questions. For now, it's all about living The Word and loving her, you can be sure your mom isn't getting the love she deserves in the org, so you be the one to shower her with genuine love and she'll wonder...(Since you're looking, pray about finding your church home, God will lead you to the best place for you) - God Bless, V-Sky
