They can work out, just perhaps not in the way you might mean. I've had two or three long-distance, internet, relationships. One of these three is, today, one of the very best friends I have ever had and we met nearly 9 years ago.

If one of three of my face-to-face relationships worked out as well as I considered that one to have, I think I'd consider myself lucky indeed.

Don't want to give too much info away about myself just yet but...

I'll be celebrating my 10th wedding anniversary tomorrow. My wife lived in another country, 3000+ miles away, when I met her.

People still comment that there is "something different" about us, that we act "like newlyweds".

I'll drink to that!
