That is totally fasinating. I've had a long time interest in handwriting analysis from back in the 70's, have several books on it. You sound like your have lots of experience and know how since you have taught it.

Love that analysis of Rutherford's handwritting, which we had some of Russell's for you to look at and interpet his personality.

You've made me want to get my books out again and read them again.

Moshe in your view is graphology reliable, when you checked it against people's real characters and personalities did the conclusions match well?

  • moshe

yes, it seems reliable- I used to observe people I spent time with and formulate an idea of what I thought their handwriting should look like- then I would check it. If I was wrong ,I found out what I had missed- after 30 years you get pretty good- as good as the guys at the carnival who guess your age and weight!

For example, I mentioned that depressed people have handwriting that slopes downwards on the paper. think about how a really depressed person feels- they can hardly get out of bed, they have no pep in life- now see how their shoulders droop-arms hang by the side. When they write , this negative energy tends to droop the hands down- causing the handwriting to slope downhill on the paper. Make sense now?

Turn that around and visualize the optimistic- happy ,full of life person- he is in such a hurry and so full of energy that the handwriting is climbing up off the paper- causing the upward line slant of the sentences on the paper!

I don't belive you can get the subtle information that some analysts claim to see, but the important personality traits do come out in your handwriting.

That was interesting Moshe. Thanks for sharing it.

I was about to send you a copy of my hand writing but now I don't want to know. I am better off in the dark.

    Interesting analysis Moshe.

In looking over his handwriting, I noticed that his signature indicates that he has a flair for the dramatics as well. What do you think?

  • moshe

Skyman- thats Ok, we can't easily change what we don't like about ourself. In the dark , is better in that case.

Have you ever analyzed your own hand writing?

  • misspeaches

Moshe that’s very interesting. I’ve always believed that you can learn a lot about a person from their handwriting. But I’ve never really had the time or opportunity to get into the nitty gritty of how to perform an analysis.

    Thanks for posting this!

Have analyzed my handwriting? Sure- I'm so glad my wife and I have so many faults in common! If you are single and looking for a mate, try and find a partner who has the same general slant and size to their handwriting- that will be a big help in getting along. I think you'll find that the chemistry clicks from the beginning!
