  Poor things probably can't hear, are screaming and who's going to slam the phone on a old man or woman??

  I don't discriminate when it comes to false prophets.

  We did a lot of phone witnessing in my last congregation. In fact, the elders had to encourage us to get out in the door to door work more.
  One of the main reasons for doing phone witnessing is to access those apartment buildings that the witnesses are not allowed into. Generally speaking, they don't call homes that can be accesed in the door to door work.
  I hated phone work. I hate the phone. And I didn't like not seeing who I was talking to. At the doors, at least I could gage their response.
  You'd be surprised though how successful it was. Most of the magazine placements and return visits were from phone work. There were even many bible studies conducted over the phone. Yet the congregation I was in was one of the best for field service results in the district. So it may not be a reflection of the whole.
