I agree willyloman. Ray Franz said they spend tons of their time on disfellowshipping matters as well. That'll keep them busy more and more, LOL.
I want to see big financial pressure poured onto them. Tort of Misrepresentation suits or whatever. These old guys remind me of Sadam. They'll sit there forever unless someone bombs them out.
And never has the Society predicted the advent of the internet. Not one scripture. To my mind, the internet is the biggest thing that has happened in my lifetime.
Wombat: you're absolutely right! Oh, I'm with you on that one! Matter of fact I have said in front of other witnesses (even from the platform!) that the Internet is the single best invention HUMANS have made! (Most JW look at me like the deer in the headlights...)
It's freedom of thought, it is borderless,....here we're sitting and having nice chats with people from Canada, UK, Australia.....Iran? (well, I've seen that one, but don't believe you my friend, whoever you are.....hahaha, nice try, though)....isn't that amazing? The sum of all our minds is pretty IMPRESSIVE and POWERFULL. There is no limitation to our imagination if WE STICK TOGETHER. Ever since I've read that scripture I have thought: Why is it that God would like to separate people? Then one day it strucked me, reading an National Geographic article about how scientiests combine thousands of computers together, to have the SUM of the processing power in investigating the universe (because the singlemost powerful computer isn't enough anymore, but many small-time home PC's do the trick). There was the answer! Human brains, combined together are able to push they're boundaries to the unimagined!
You can see on a small scale what humans are able to pull off - ONCE THEY WORK AS A TEAM. Example: NASA. Man, we've left our earthly planet, pushed ourselfes off the force of gravitation and visited our moon!
The Internet puts millions of people in touch, and THAT is pretty POWERFULL. Internet = biggest thing to my life, too. Fully agree with that.
To the question of: GB using Internet. I'm at Bethel and can only tell you: the Internet has been so demonized, that there is NO WAY they're looking at stuff like this, I know way to many JW that absolutely hate the Internet and matter of fact it is been heavily controled inside Bethel (they have their own server/filter system to do that). Forget about that.

GB once looked allowing Bethelites to have FREE INTERNET in their rooms so that the Bethelites can have a "measure of security" or a filter put in place. Apparently some Bethelites surfing the web for porn and freedom. Keep surfin' homies...free at last free at last! Well sort of. Still workin out my own salvation.
I know for sure that the leader of the Jehovah's Witnesses Ted Jaracz is not to fond of MODERN DAY TECHNOLOGY. Hmm I wonder why?

So will the GB start to crack soon? Hard to say but I am praying.
Knowledge of our sites will lead some to check it out- it's human nature. Some of the GB could fall victim to the power of the Internet.

I believe the same situation exists within the GB: surrounded by syncophant "given ones" and an entire mass of doped-on-hope believers.
There is very little chance of an awakening from the the old guard and their hand-picked successors.

But would the same thing happen today?- broadcast-cable TV,Internet, cell phones, satellite TV-Radio- all this makes it hard to stay isolated. It might take only two independent thinkers to start the crack or a good lawsuit- "hey man they made me do it"
