not sure if your blind or just cant read, but like I said I AM MARRIED TO IT!!!

I did not state when I got married, but growing up as a JW it was young, I was stupid, it was a mistake, I got lemons and made lemonade sorry you disagree.

It is difficult for me to leave because I will never confuse my children, yes my husband can be abusive and yes he does a lot of wrong things, but he does take care of us and he is their father. I wish they were older and I would leave, I just can not do it now.

One day I will however pack up my things and move on, but it will be when I can support my children with out him that day is not today.

As for your counsel you should be reading that to yourself, you lack common since and the ability to give me advice. Sadly there are so many JWS like you out there who believe a scripture can solve it all. I for one thing can not understand why any human being would even Marry a JW unless they were in it together, because JWs do not date outside of the organization, your question to me why did I marry him because I did not live with him before marriage left him twice within our first 4 years of marriage but was told by the Elders that I must stay and work it out, me not being a quiter did just that. But that does not mean it is easy.

I was hoping to get some advice from those who are in the same boat so to speak, apparently you do not qualify, so please move on.

Welcome to the board. My cousin was in a similar situation with an abusive JW husband. There were also kids involved. To make a long story short, these kinds of relationships just cant last in the long term. She met somebody that was capable of real love, and she divorced and re-married. She has never been happier. The kids have never been happier. There is happiness after leaving a miserable marriage, despite what the watchtower will tell you. I know of cases where elders have actively insisted that women stay in abusive JW marriages because "jehovah hates divorce".....ridiculous. You will know when its time to move on. Good luck

for brother ezra: take your self-righteous judgemental watchtower arrogance (along with your new world translation) and shove it where the sun dont shine.

Mydiscounts; I am so sorry for your situation. I wish I had something other than my well-wishes.

You need to do real research on the bible and learn that many of the books attributed to Apostle Paul were written after his death. They were added by the Catholic Church as part of the bible canon. All those scriptures about women being submissive to husband is baloney and added by later writers. See below for books that are not a true Paul writings.Men and women are equal according to Christ and true Pauline teachings.

Books attributed to Paul but not written by him which Biblical Scholars consider Pseudepigraphical are:

Ephesians, Colossians, 2 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus.

Even 1 Cor 14:33b-36 were late additions to Pauls writings to try to exclude women from taking the lead among congregations.

There are many good books by serious Biblical Scholars that bring this out. The bible we have today was put together by the early Catholic Church, why would you trust such a book as inspired by God?

The biblical NT commands to Christian women to be obedient to men is pure baloney and added by the Early Catholic Church when the NT was selected.
