You get so confused and frustrated you decide you can't take any more. You tell her you love her but can't go on this way and you leave.

Sue sends her daughter to you with a message of her eternal, undying love, and asks you to please help stop these damned lawyers from doing any more damage.

I think we could build this into a very compelling story...

It is, in fact, her enemy speaking to you and imitating her voice. Sue never speaks to anyone except through her attorneys.

Which is why when Bob hears Sue telling him from the sidelines that these are not her lawyers and that they don't speak for her, he ignores the voice.

When the lawyers catch Bob listening to the daughter and going along, they go to all Bob's family (with whom they have binding contracts) and they inform them that they will not be able to speak to Bob anymore, because Bob has left Sue.

It isn't true, of course, Bob only left the lawyers, but the family also believes that the lawyers speak for Sue.

EC, this is very imaginative, and makes the point so well. Excellent idea. Your also getting some good help from others to develop this. I think a little story like this does more to reach people than any "in your face" exposes. Steve

One fine day, in the privacy of his own home with friends, Bob confides that he loves Sue dearly, but is so frustrated with the legal intervening.

The lawyers catch wind of Bob's flippant remarks and so casually invite him to 'share' his views with a few litigators. What could be the harm? "After all, we all love Sue so much." Bob reasons. Their meeting begins with a bit of non-threatening banter. This puts Bob at ease, plus sensing their concern for him, Bob trustingly concedes that perhaps it would be better if he could deal directly with Sue. Immediately this casual conversation turns quite serious as one of the lawyers sternly asks:

"So Bob, are you saying that you don't believe that we lawyers speak for Sue?"

Bob's own hesitation leads to his demise, "Well, honestly I'm just not so sure!"

"Enough said!", retorted another lawyer. "We will discuss this with you later."

Poor Bob, what a sucker - goes home thinking that he was just being honest!

The next day, he suddenly finds that the lawyers have informed him that Sue is VERY disappointed, and now hates him.

In fact, everyone that loves Sue now hates him!

A relationship with God should be based on love, and fear should not enter into it at all, one serves God out of love and not out of a morbid sort of fear. The WTS relies heavily on the fear induced relationship not really a free one that's why the dubs are constantly stressed out and unhappy.

Poor Bob! He doesn't know where to turn! He decides to cry in his beer at the local watering hole. While there he meets another sad sack who relates an eerily similar story to his own. Soon they start comparing their lives and find the very same lawyers are involved in both their lives! A few shots later, they have found courage and maybe a little bravado and decide to become partners in fighting the evil lawyers..........................................

Bob loves Sue so much....How could he ever live up to all the regulations the lawyers put in place? He continues to try, yet at every turn he feels like he is failing. There is no hope...maybe it is the right way to love Sue, and maybe Bob is just not good enough for Sue......So, do they live happily ever after or not??

Bob decides he must talk to Sue, alone. Behind closed doors, just the two of them......................................

Bob is not sure what to feel anymore ... How could his Sue hate him so much? Surely she must know how hard he tried.

The lawyers refuse to meet with Bob again until he follows even stricter steps to regain Sue's love. In fact, they are not sure that he ever REALLY loved Sue at all. He must convince them enough to mediate a renewed relationship with his beloved Sue. This gives Bob a bad case of the blues. He needs time to think, to regroup. How could his life with Sue have come to this? Maybe he was not worthy of her love afterall? Depression soon sets in.

Meanwhile, the others who so dearly love Sue, watch Bob become more & more depressed. This strikes fear in their hearts that they not allow themselves to fall out of Sue's love. For a short while at least, they strive even harder to please the lawyers who speak for Sue.

The lawyers keep close watch on anyone else who claims to love Sue. Perhaps, Bob will try to influence them to seek direct contact with her. Instead of helping Bob, many of them stand on sidelines appreciating the fact that they are not degenerates like Bob. How in the world could someone claim to love Sue and be like him. Just think about it, how could all of the lawyers be wrong?
