I went to university while still a JW because I had ceased to believe that the so called end was near and that the dubs were a serious and reliable org that was worth obeying. That was back in the 80's.
Getting a uni education is always useful and advisable as it can carry a person forward socially and economically as well as sharpening the intellect, there are many in their 30's and 40's studying for their first degree. I believe that the learning process will be more enjoyable for a mature student who due to age has a bigger experience of life.
