Since I will die before my kids (Please God!), I want this played for them. This is 'our' special song that's been sung since the day my son was born. I sung this to him every single day when he was sick. Whenever my kids hear this they are instantly calmed when crying, instantly soothed when upset. It's so special to us.
I know it sounds corny but I just thought I'd share:

    Goodnight My Angel
    -Billy Joel

    Goodnight, my angel
    Time to close your eyes
And save these questions for another day
I think I know what you've been asking me
I think you know what I've been trying to say.

I promised I would never leave you
    And you should always know
    Wherever you may go
    No matter where you are
I never will be far away

Goodnight, my angel now it's time to sleep
And still so many things I want to say
Remember all the songs you sang for me
When we went sailing on an emerald bay

And like a boat out on the ocean
    I'm rocking you to sleep
    The water's dark
And deep inside this ancient heart
You'll always be a part of me

    Goodnight, my angel
    Now it's time to dream
And dream how wonderful your life will be
    Someday your child may cry
And if you sing this lullabye
    Then in your heart
There will always be a part of me

    Someday we'll all be gone
But lullabyes go on and on
    They never die
    That's how you
    And I
    Will be

I think i would play something that puts the main man upstairs
    in a good mood

Seriously, I honestly would like to play

"Tears in heaven" - Eric Clapton

A beautiful song which he wrote after tragically losing his son.
The song always puts tears in my eyes

Thanks for all the suggestions, I suppose it was both a serious question and a tounge in cheek one at the same time.
To whoever suggested Alan Parson's... I've got that album and it's cool, but no one else in the UK seems to know them, is it still going in the US?
My other fav was probably J's suggestion WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, great song and great film too.
On the other hand, no one suggested that one hit wonder...

    LIVING IN A BOX!!!!

I was too far out... and not waving but drowning - Stevie Smith
