Things not to say or do in a job interview

These all really happened to me (the interviewer, in case any of you were wondering!).

    1. "What is the extra chair for, my invisible friend? Ha ha."

    2. (in response to teamwork question) "Nobody listened to my advice. Then half the team quit. Then I took over and got the project done just in time."

    3. (Make sure your fly is zipped.)

    4. I was fired from my last job because of my bad attitude. I found out I have a chemical imbalance. I'm on medication now and I no longer hear the voices.

    5. I think it's only fair I tell you I'm getting married in August! I'll need that month off from the summer job if you do hire me. More:

I was at my company Christmas party last Friday night. I was standing there talking to the HR manager when the spouse of one of our Reps came up. She had applied for a job with us, but apparently was turned down. She said there were no hard feelings...she received 3 rejections that week...and all had errors in it. She said to Peggy (our HR Manager) that Peggy's rejection only had 3 errors in it! Then she said...sorry, I can't help myself... I teach English... I guess we can be happy she doesn't teach manners! If she had ever hoped to work for this company, she can kiss that idea goodbye!

I used to manage a care home for developmentally disabled adults.

I was repeatedly asked....You don't lock up the drugs do you?

We were also told to ask by the owners when talking about salary - What do you think you should be paid?

One guy said...since I have to be around these retards I think I should be paid double.

I don't have to worry about interviews or peeing in a cup, I have been the interviewer for about 21 years now. Self-employed and love it that way............

Is it okay for me to try to convert other workers to my religion during the holiday seasons, or when political discussions arise, or when there's a death in the family, or when someone gets sick, hell any time someone talks to me?
