When I hear the news about this, I keep thinking of Louise Kurtz who started work as an accountant at the Pentagon just the day before 9/11. She was burned over 70% of her body, losing her fingers, ears, nose, and much of her face. She was able to have her ears and nose reconstructed through surgery, but her face is still far from how it was....but I have seen even worse burn victims.

Seriously - I hope this new technology works. There are many persons who could benefit by this. As Leo mentioned, burn victims.
I pray they got in right in France this week, for the sake of many in the future.

u mean a whole new face?? that's just creepy/ kinda like that show MADE on MTV where people try to look like there fave celebrity. i would maybe make my nose a lil smaller but those r the things that make each of us special!

I'm fine, thanks! Had chemo #6 last Thursday and was at the specialist cancer hospital yesterday to talk about forthcoming treatments. They intend to hit the cancer hard with heavier chemo followed by stem cell transplants - but this runs over three weeks and isn't pleasant (in the new year)! The thought of it is disconcerting but it's the only realistic weapon in the armoury at this time. It is intended to put me into a long remission or CURE! I'll take the latter
