Is This Life All There Is?

I have been a Witness for over 30 years, and all my dreams are fading away.

A Good friend of mine for all these years told me the other day that, He is resigned to the fact that he is going to die in this "System Of Things".

    Really???

Sorry to tell you but in all probability that is the case - religion is based on man's construction of stories and fantasies to avoid this conclusion. Of course, we can't know definitely either way so it is not impossible that there is some form of afterlife but science and logic suggests this is highly unlikely.

Hate to break it to you, but "this system of things" is 13 billion years old and counting.

You (and your kids and their kids and ....) are going to die in "this system of things".

If it's any consolation, the current numnuts who make up the governing body are going to die in "this system of things" as well. As an added bonus, they will NOT get to "rule as associate kings in heaven".

Life is a brief struggle against pain and then you die.

I know it sounds grim but it's reality.

When I was a JW I believed in god....I have since realised there is no evidence for a god despite the so called 'evidence' religion gives.

This is all we get. If there were more god would make it obvioous to everyone without using weird cults to confuse his message.

Reality sucks but it's betterthan wasting your life on false hope.

Just read my diary I wrote when I stopped with the "truth" 7 years ago. I was in a mess as to what now? I can see I have come a long way since then, the death thing is no big deal as I have had trouble enjoying life in the first place. Let go of it, it is the only way to keep living.

I only rarely feel that this life is limited. If I go without physical or emotional pain, I will be glad. Living forever would drive me crazy. I have human DNA. We die. This life, though fleeting, is beautiful. There are so many things to experience. I love the fine arts. As I age, I feel a link with human tradition. I am a history buff. Masterpieces of art and music bring me to tears. The Beatles bring me to my feet. There are friendships to forge and work to do.

Altho you were in thirty years, it is not a lifetime. Witnesses are completely brainwashed into believing this system of things (what a stupid phrase in itself) is so bad. We have a democracy that functions more often than not. I am looking forward to seeing Paul McCartney and the WHO this coming year. Maybe Ringo Starr or Billy Joel. The WTC Museum is opening next month. When I walk around this "system of things," I rejoice.

I am a lawyer. When I was younger, I was only interested in the Senate or the White House. Now I focus on local problems. Living in Manhattan, eccentric people are on parade entertaining passerbys. It is so much richer than KH. Even 9/11, the city had its first shelters up and running about 20 minutes after the first plane hit. My neighborhood was a staging area. I had to show id to the police. NYers behaved and helped. We were also polite. People help other people.

The Witness cult removes you from real life. It clouds and distorts your thinking. I remember seeing The Last Judgment by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. He painted himself as one of the demons of hell. M. also painted portraits of his least favorite cardinals in hell. The self portrait is flayed flesh. I cried that a human could paint such a devastating portrait. Heck, the subway has good points.

Yes by all physical evidence and actualization, so its important to take the responsibility toward are self

to love and respect the rest of human, to make for a better living experience for all.

    .

The ignorant and corrupt WTS. publishing house has put fear, anxiety and fantastical delusions to withhold pursuing

helping humanity now and for generations to follow.

The life will be better in the future, the science are bringing a great future.

    Read about technological singularity.

Death it's not an event of life, you'll never experience death in first person. Your life in first person point of view have no end as it have no beginning too. Or do you know exactly when you became self aware?
