Tony Morris Turns Tail and Runs From Apostate

I received some email notes from an undercover apostate from a DC a few days ago. Our favorite GB member Anthony Morris was the featured speaker.

According to the notes, Morris talked a little apostasy in his concluding talk, where he was recapping the weekend. The story goes a little like this:

Tony was brought to a home by a piosneer, along with his wife. EVIDENTLY, the piosneer was having difficulty answering this man's questions, so who better to drag along than one of Christ's brothers. So Tony, his wife, and the piosneer go into the home, and Tony seems to remember this guy from somewhere. But he just can't remember where.

Anyway, the APOSTATE has all kinds of research material out and ready to go, stuff like concordances, bibles, commentaries, etc. The APOSTATE starts questioning Tony about Gods name first off, and then jumps into some original Greek that Tony doesn't want to discuss (gee, I wonder why...)

Finally, Tony remembers that this guy confronted him on the streets about five years ago, and he was an APOSTATE. (gasp!)

So Tony tells the audience "I was outta there, this guy knew too much"

I've asked my source to confirm that last sentence word for word, and he promises that is exactly how it was stated. But no recording of course, and because he is deep, deep inside right now he doesn't even want to tell me location details.

Anyone hear something like this at a DC, I know its a longshot.

Quite an admission from Tony that we "know too much".

I think Tony3's brain is all scrambled and this was sort of a freudian slip on his part and he didn't even realize what he is saying about his own stupidity and lack of biblical knowledge

Appearently Biblical knowledge is not a requirement to be part of the exclusive Faithful and Discreet Slave.

    I wonder what is?

Hope someone got a recording of this, or can verify it in some other way.

Oh boy ! I do hope someone has a recording of those last words of Anthony the Turd !

That reminds me of when a long serving Bro, and good friend, called on me to "correct my thinking", a few months after I had stopped attending.

Everything he mentioned I had the answer for, because of research on here, JWN, an answer he simply could not counter. In the end he left, saying :

"You know too much!". He never returned and tried again.

That sounds exactly like the sort of thing AM3 would say...

Funny that such an inadvertently self-exposing admission was not recorded by anyone. Perhaps this little unverifiable little story will grow internet legs and end up with "Tony" saying something like, "I realized I was completely out of my depth so I shrieked, "My goodness gracious me! Iam so very ignorant compared to this very knowledgeable apostate. I had better run out of here or I'll run the risk of questioning even my own role" Urban legends are clearly not confined to the godly who walk among us.

Perhaps the context or the tone of voice he said it in made the sentence sound like a joke.. Otherwise I'm afraid it does sound unlikely that a member of the Faithful Slave would admit such a thing. Recordings ARE made at some conventions, if the sound system had such equipment, for people who don't attend/want to listen again. Could you please ask him to ask someone if there was a recording, as he 'wants to hear some of the talks again, wasn't Brother Morris's talk good' etc ? Then go from there..
