Persecution Begins on Monday

    Dear Friends,

This has been a distressing 48 hours. I cannot sleep because I do not have freeness of speech. Dear JW friends have happily told me the latest about the end being so very near, perhaps to be precipitated by the clergy's rage over the new tract. It all begins on Monday. I yearned to tell them about JFR's purposely stirring up trouble and then drawing attention to the poor victims of mindless persecution. All to revive slumping book sales. Just previous to this joyous march-into-hell-for-a-heavenly-cause flurry of excitement, I received news that a dear friend was df'd, ostensibly over the art issue. It went beyond the local level. The tipping point, however, was an anonymous and blasphemous statement I was sent that bragged: "One of us has reached the Heights and we can see the world, Satan's world." In the letter the WT and adherents were mercilessly derided and mocked, and joy was claimed over the death of children denied blood. Much was said on "Our writing and designing the illustrations of books and magazines," notably 'Our beautiful KNOWLEDGE book.' Asked was the question, "do you think this was placed here by accident, you [expletives deleted]? Do you think that this is the only time we have done this? Placing our Master's image in your minds and your childrens' minds through the Watchtower and its publications?" Whoever "They" are, they rejoice over their being anonymous, invisible and unstoppable. There is more, too much more.

I am sick that my beloved friends and family are going out, starting Monday, and possibly, perhaps not probably, inviting misery upon themselves for Jehovah, they would think. As many of you have already said, however, the majority of the tracts could wind up in the trash. My mind for the last year has been engaged in intellectual pursuits, vis-a-vis the search for truth. The events described above have put me into an emotional dive. Even if that Satanic statement were a hoax, the 99% I did not include out of respect for you and space constraints, bears far too heavily and directly on my research specific to WT art. I fully understand how all this may sound, yet I believe JWD to be a forum that allows the freedom to say what we know or simply just feel. Whatever the implications of all the above, ultimately our Father and His Son will prevail. I'm just feeling a bit overwhelmed. Thanx and peace and love.

    Yours truly,

    CoCo

I found your post quite confusing. Did you friend get df'd for noticing subliminal images in WBTS art? That can't be all surely?

I will now let you and all others in on a lil secret...The clergy and religious leaders don't give a rats a$$ about what the WT$ is doing. Any who do respond will merely point out the fact that it is the WT$ that has actually been making false predictions for the last 100 years. Someone who does research or stumbles onto a board like this will be able to point out that the current track campaign is almost the same as one they sponsered back in the early 70's.

SInce I have gotten out of the cult and now freely interact with all people's (not merely talk down to them as mere armegedon fodder,) I realize that the mark of anyone who claims strong religious belifs and convictions, is a martyr complex. The more religious a person claims to be the more paranoid they are. They are highly sensitive to slight's and wrong's against them and use these as proofs of their righteousness. Since Jesus said all who follow him will be persecuted on a subconscious level they look for said persecution.

The main audience for J-dubs campaignes is other dubs. Its a mindless busy work for them to perform, to keep them focused on something other than the life they should be living.

Don't let a single e-mail send you over the edge. People can write anything, any time, especially on the web. It means little. I prescribe for you a walk in the fresh air in a fine park. Listen to the chirping of birds and chipmunk. Watch couples walk hand-in-hand. Give a dollar to a homeless person. Pick up a fallen leaf and bring it home.

    Relax.

There's time enough to go back to your studies.

    CoCo,

Forgive me, but all I could think of while reading your post was that you need to see a good psychologist. You seem completely screwed up - which doesn't surprise me in the least considering who you've been associating with.

    DarthFrosty is right:

Since Jesus said all who follow him will be persecuted on a subconscious level they look for said persecution.

If you want real peace of mind, distance yourself from anything JW-related and get counselling. Stick around, there's plenty to read here, much of it incredibly upbuilding and written by posters who were once as pained as you are now.

Relax, that tract has all the impact of wet spongecake. It's rather limp in fact. The majority will look at the pictures and throw it away. Those who take issue with it, would have taken issue with anything they were handed and the level of complaint will not change. The witnoids are a menace in their own mind.

Don't worry about persecution because of some silly piece of paper. In this day and age, nobody pays attention to jehovahs witnesses, anymore. Everybody is thinking about muslim terrorists. Jws are nothing compared to them. Think, not a single jw is incarcerated because of peddling their crap from door to door.

I too had trouble understanding your post. I think Ian had a good message for you. We are here to help but tell it like it is!!! Not with underlying messages ...We have all gone through that period of our lives when we were listening to the false prophet which is the Organisation of the Watchtower. Tell us a bit about your self ....we will love you unconditionally what ever your problem. (HUG)
