  n 1926, rutherford reinterpreted the faithful slave from a single person to a group of people.

  thus the interpretation had come full circle, but this time the servant included jesus as well as the 144,000.  so "the christ" is jesus alone, jesus and member of his body collectively as one, or applied only to the members of the body of christ yet on earth.

  three different things.... "seeing then that the servant of jehovah is the christ, and that the christ is composed of jesus and the faithful members of his body, we find it proper to apply the term "servant" to jesus christ alone or to jesus christ and the members of his body collectively as one; and sometimes it is applied only to the members of the body of christ yet on earth.

  the entire internal religious culture of the watchtower organization is harmful for its current members.

  the culture seems to traverse ethnic and national barriers.

  however, the worst of each culture all around the world appears to have a symbiotic relationship with the religion in an attempt to make the org fanciful in every nation and locality.

  i used to comment here many years ago when i had an interest in biblical research in relation to jehovah’s witnesses.

  these days my biblical research is little concerned with jehovah’s witnesses.

  i feel my time is better spent researching the diachronistic development of the biblical text and ascertaining what the biblical writers and editors intended in the times in which they lived.. i have recently placed a summary diagram for a paper that i have written with original research entitled the narrative structure of the hexaemeron on academia.edu.

  Pandemic as part of Bible prophecy?

  i was thinking that since russell started the movement in 1879 which became jehovah's witnesses in 1931 never has there been a period in time when all their activities just - stopped.

  especially the preaching work.. do you think they will find some obscure verse in daniel that talks about this period of time and try to make a greater fulfillment?

  like the 70 weeks of years or the 42 months?
