"Growth in the Organization" !!! Email from an old friend

  I've been in touch with one of my best friends growing up. She's active JW, for what her own FMS will allow. But I found the following quote from a recent email rather interesting:

  I have no idea what Tom M is doing or where he is. We had Jerry H( now a widower), over a few weeks ago after he gave a talk at
  our K.H. He mentioned that Richard was back in the Truth and on his 3rd marriage. I didn't think to ask him about Tom. If anyone would know I expect he would. Next time I see him I'll try to think to ask. It may be awhile because he isn't in our circuit nor our district. There's been so much growth in the organization it's hard to keep up with everyone. I have blocked out so much of my younger life, that between that and the "fibro fog", Im fortunate to know anyone's name.

  Extensive growth? Or just people moving around so much and circuits being regularly rearranged to make it look like there's growth? Just reinforced the shell game the WTBTS loves to play.

  We will likely reconnect at my dads funeral. It will be good to see her. I'm still very tickled to have the Apostofest dinner to attend afterwards!

  Growth in the WTS consists of people who are already JWs moving from one congregation to another. Ask if they are newly baptized people other than children of JWs.

  Yeah, as I thought, the shuffle and shout growth shell game.... As Enron taught us, it's all in the accounting.

  The growth in members is very small, the emphasize is the forming of new Spanish or Chinese halls here in the states. Funny the old cong. Never seems to grow, in fact only gittin’ a bit smaller. My old hall has lost nearly 20% over the past 5 years through Fades, and Df’ed.

  But then she did say she cant remember stuff due to being ill (fibro fog). Its prolly the same people shes meeting every week and just fogetting she already knows them!

  LOL (((KatieKitten))) If she brings it up again, I'll remind her that her perception is outta whack! Especially since I get Fibro-Fog myself from time-to-time LOL

  I still think that whatever her perception is, it's the results of a con-game by the WTBTS.

  They wish. I think she missed a word out there, like "negative" should go in front of "growth".
