You are certainly entitled to your opinion. The rest of us are entitled to ours. And FREEDOM means we are FREE to disagree with you.
There are more ways to expose the WTS than by marching on Parliament Hill. Just because someone chooses to launch a crusade, does not mean that the great deal of work that is being done anonymously is pointless and valueless.
I have very strong personal reasons for NOT participating in these kinds of activities, and so do others. Nobody has the right to judge those reasons either. But I do plan on making a stand in some way. It's just not Mr. Hughes' way. The WTS played the "my way or the highway" game with all of us before, and I will not be badgered into doing ANYTHING for ANYONE with that mentality ever again.

suit yourself....we all have a moral responsibilty (atheist or not) to expose the lies....I know where I stand. Ask yourself...would you be able to tell the murdered ones, stolen minds ...victims...of Watchtower Tyranny, that you did everything you could to bring justice to them and others? Mr Hughes has his battles with the WTS. Everyone else has their own. Just because some don't jump on his bandwagon doesn't mean they aren't doing what they can. For some people, just getting their own life in order and making a success of their own life is a victory against the WTS, because they said we would end up so much worse off for leaving the JWs.
In case you are wondering why I won't be going to the "Protest Rally" on Parliament Hill, it is because I find the term "Protest Rally" to be extremely offensive. I do, however, have an appointment that day to donate blood. And I will do so in honour of the memory of Bethany Hughes.

it seems to me that you are talking to a group of people whom you know nothing about. You have no idea what is done here or done behind the scenes.
There are many ways to help. Some of us just choose different ways.
For some the most they can do is protect themselves and their families from WTS oppression and abuse.

I'm disappointed in your behaviour. It is quite disingenuous to request moral support and financial contributions to your cause with one account, and use another account to degrade and vilify the very people who have helped you. And you wonder why nobody shows up at your protest rallies?

Beacon.... after being through a distructive cult ... one must spend time away from the cult if they need to.
People all have their ways of recovering, after going through all that mental abuse some people choose to get away from it all for a while. To recollect their thoughts and to recover from the experiance. For some people they would find it hard to shake off all the mind control they lived in for all these years....some people were born into it...
Talking to other former members of the cult can really be helpful and supportive.... just like Alcoholics Anonymous..... it can help to talk in a group and together pull eachother through this tough experiance.
That is what a lot of people here choose to do, even if as you said some of their topics are way off the subject of Jehovah's Witness, so what!
So one may be bold enough and go out there and "protest" but others need time to recover and as far as i'm concerned a lot of discussion on this forum website exposes a lot about the Watchtower, a lot of people are plugging in to the internet and the truth is made known.
