What a Prat!

This evening Mrs Ozzie and I went to our favorite local restaurant - it's out in the outer suburbs, a lovely small Thai restaurant - well, any food eaten with chopsticks is okay with us!

Anyway, we entered and there at a middle table sat a family of three - father, mother and daughter. Nothing unusual about that except, well it was the badge card that caught my eye. Yes, it's DC week in Sydney, and there at this table sat a man, in business suit and tie of all things, and wearing a badge card, why they must have come straight from the Superdome! But, that's miles away at the Olympic centre! Here we were in the outer reaches of Sydney and there was this man looking.....well, a prat!

If he could only have realised how he looked to a 'worldly' person! He might as well have been wearing a clown suit, it wouldn't have been any different! Going out on a Saturday evening is quite normal here downunder, but how do we dress? Why, in casual attire, it's the weekend, for heaven's sake! The last thing you'd see, especially in the 'burbs is a man in business suit and tie, especially where we were, not far from Bethel, yet here was a man looking like that! He might just as well have been naked, he couldn't have looked more stupid! What was he thinking of? Presumably he wanted to "advertise the kingdom"! As if! All he would have got would have been condescending remarks, if any.

    What a prat!

    BTW I had a great '97 shiraz!

Freedom means not having to wear a tie.

'97 shiraz sounds like wine. I don't drink wine cuz I don't know what to buy. LOL

So, this dub sitting in this particular Thai restaurant in his suit was about the equivalent of someone sitting in a McDonald's or a pizza place dressed like that here? LOL Yah, great witness to the nations there. I'm sure a lot of people now want to learn more about Jehobie's Witnesses because of this guy and his inappropriately formal attire. Praise Jah!

Hey Ozzie, I live just down the road from the football ground where they hold conventions, and last year I saw a few witnesses in the fish 'n chip shop. They were still wearing their badges... plus... the most miserable faces you can possibly imagine. What a fine witness!

You can't do much there down under, but you know how to make wine. Especially the Shiraz of australia is the best.....
