Well ... it may as well say that. This was a bi-fold leaflet given out at the UK District Conventions (and ONLY available at the DC). I guess the throw-away size stuff is handier to ... well, throw away).

Do you get the impression that they are not getting many young pioneer & bethel recruits ?!?!

"I want the very best out of life"

Good luck chickadee....become a pioneer, go where the need is great, get a weird disease, hang out w/losers and control freaks, slave away at Bethel, let the men do all the talking for you, never go to college, never travel the real world and see the sights, spend lovely Saturday mornings knocking where you aren't welcome, expose yourself to hidden pedophiles, never read anything but the bible, mary an Elder, and don't forget to be disfellowshiped many years later after....see ya on the board!!! *L*

Hey Simon, this would make great kindling at a BarBQ.....BTW, you get my addition to the contribution box Monday or so?

    Sincerely,

    District Overbeer

Desperate times call for desperate measures, eh?

Reading this kind of junk makes me want to throw up. I can remember just how much I enjoyed 'bringing a message of life and hope' to my classmates when I turned up on their doorsteps on a Saturday morning.

I wasted my entire education on that bunch of idiots. Cheers.

*L* no worries...I was baked when I sent it...*needs a stoned and drunk emoticon*

I don't know too many youth that would read that thing, much less take it seriously. Perhaps they stand over the dubba dub youth and make them memorize it..Reminds me the last time I was in Mexico in a small town called Santa Elena. I'm walking along and what do I see all over the ground? yes tracts from the WTBS en espanol.....I appreciated the fact that the residents knew exactly where they belonged.....

    Sincerely,

    District Overbeer

"what secular job could possibly be as exciting and satisfying?"

howcome they don't use the word "profession" anyway? i'll tell you why. because it's easier to discount " a job" than it is to discount "a profession". like:

scientist, surgeon, enginneer, pediatrician, artist, writer, musician, forensic pathologist, jet pilot, teacher, oceanographer, nurse, ambassador, prosecuting attorney, child advocate, astronomer...the possibilties are all endless and exciting and rewarding. notice the wording it's almost as if they are saying "now good little witnesses do what we expect of them, or else... what putzes !

    It's all so clear now....

The Watch Tower Society views their young ones as a resource to be greedily plundered!! They had me fooled when I was young, the way they couched their language to make it look like I could only be happy by serving their wonderful publishing company!

Material success is NOTHING other than "striving after the wind"? I used to think so. But now I have a hugely uncertain financial future, after listening to their advice. In reality, material success is merely a reward for working hard and watching to make sure you're not wasteful! What's wrong with enjoying some material success.

Remember, they used the word "NOTHING", and of course that means NOTHING. There is no room for any other thought on the subject. Young servants of Jehovah, material sucess will bring you absolutely NOTHING!

Geez, to be young again but with the knowledge I have now!! (Sigh)

So, as of this edition of the WT (I am guessing) they are again telling people to not get education.

This is incredible. Next thing they will be saying that reading the publications is the same as a college diploma!

What a waste those years in school were. I really wish I could have pioneered! Then I would feel true happiness.

this is the type of stuff that makes you want to breakdown and cry- for those of you who were not raised as jw kids- read the exp carefully of those of us who were,

just looking at those clean cut kids brings back memories of me and my buddies growing up

true there were jw kids who were into a little of everything drugs , sex etc, there were many of us who took to heart serious what we were told about THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO GO

when i look at those photos of young teen and early 20's jw on that leaflet it really hurts,

for we ALL KNOW A THAT IN 30YRS if they follow the directions on that leaflet we all know that their life will turn out to be wasted- many of us left wt after 20-30-40 yrs growing up in THE TRUTH and we know-

i HOPE THAT with the "Net THANG" THEY will at least have a chance that many of us NEVER HAD - and that is to learn the info that we see here on this and other sites-

by BEING kids of the HiTech generations i feel that many more will get out early enough to be able to put some meaning back to thier lives and move on with real living not living in a dream world that wt sells -

    thanks for the leaflet
