this was a few years ago now, i was on the work one day with an elders elder.

    you now the type!

& he said this to me me (now i would love to know if you heard this one if its from a wt mag)

"how you are viewed by others (& so treated) is a reflection of how God views you"

that one comment helped me ( or stumbled me depending on you view) see that this was a "man" before! God worshipping religion.

& help me to see that i must NOT have had a relationship with GOD,

I think it was the message the Jesus was not my mediator. He is only the mediator of the anointed 144,000. That sealed the deal for me.

"God is Love" (1 John 4:8).

And the WTBTS is far from loving or caring. They are so cruel is stuns me.

The infamous Gerrit Lösch was very helpful when he compared college education to shooting a bullet through your head.

I must have missed that part, that was probably the part where he made me fall asleep. I used to think he was just boring in Spanish. Apparently he has mastered the skill of boring public speaking in many languages.

He made that notorious quote during a talk in Italy.

Eventually, it even found its way to YouTube.

    Same for me...

That ...new-light... just stopped me in my tracks, when I first heard it...

    No Siy,

I had "Never" heard that before... insane isn't it......

for me it was at a convention, they said "Jehovah and Jesus trust the Governing Body, and so should we."

The first thing that was said that I doubted was true was "Elders are appointed by holy spirit."

I saw how the elders behaved and knew some of their histories, so I knew that holy spirit had nothing to do with it.

I knew they were voted in. Don't remember where I heard that, but I remember knowing it.

The second thing I doubted was "Birthday celebrations are frowned on by Jehovah."

The third was the ban on Thanksgiving.

Neither of those made sense to me, ever.

I was born-in so birthdays and Thanksgiving doubts came to me as a child of about eight years old.

There was a WT study article(12/15/03) where they said the times we are living in are like the days of noah. They then said that the time that God first told noah to build an ark to its completion was 120 years. Than they said how its been som 90 years since Christ came in power in 1914.

I dont know which pissed me off more, them making yet another prediction on the time frame for armegidon or the fact that not one brain dead idiot in the hall picked up on it.
