I am curious how many bloggers on here have any RELIABLE information on the geneisis of the HIV virus. I will post what I know in due course.

Apparently HIV came over from some chimps, of course, I'm not expert on retroviruses.

Funny you should mention this..I just posted a question about how JW's deal with a Hiv person. Coming to the hall etc.

I believe too that it came from monkeys..but spread by humans and who knows what else..

There is a good 2004 film on this very subject called The Orgins of Aids. It plays on the sundance channel and is on right now.

Their theory is that aids is the result of a polio vaccine used in the 1950s in Africa.

LOL. Of course in an open marriage people practise safe sex, but you don't like the idea of open marriage, so you can say silly things about it.

You could equally say the same things about closed marriages, as a significant number of closed marriages involve multiple partners AND they're not even honest about it, may not have planned, and thus are more likely to have unprotected sex than someone in an open marriage.

Does anyone out there recall a magazine article or TV program about the AIDS epidemic that mentioned WHO (World Health Organization) documentation on their collection of tissue slides from decades ago? I remember reading about this and the fact that tissue samples taken from a British sailor who died in early 1930's were retested when the AIDS epidemic began to spread like wildfire. and it was discovered that the then unknown virus that killed this man was indeed the same virus responsible for AIDS. The article went on to say that researchers believe this viral agent has been around for a long time but something in the blood systems of North Americans had changed allowing this virus to proliferate. This info is from the early '90's I think. Ring any bells?

Ok then, for you monkey screwing proponents - Why would you think that, if indeed Africans copulated with green monkeys, that they only started in the latter part of the 20th century? And then why is the virus so selective? Seriously, if you are ignorant on the subject, don;t show the world.

For those familiar, why is it that the HIV virus is the first retrovirus in existence that defies Koch's Postulates; as every pathogenic virus for the past century was identified as such, by applying Koch's Postulates?

Do you know who hold the patent on the HIV test? Do you know how he happened to be the one?

Off to a good start.
