love bombing meh
by Mysterious ini keep hearing how everyone posts and says that no one in the congregation noticed or cared about them..i have the opposite problem.
i can't get sick of miss anything and they are all swarming around me "making sure i'm okay" telling me "how much they missed me" and some of them quite sincere about it.
i just wish they would all leave me the hell alone.

Congratulations to the US!!!
by Abaddon in.
... and to the iraqi people.
a weight's been lifted from their shoulders; let's hope that resistance from the loyalists of the saddam reigeme will die down quickly.. whatever misgivings or concerns one might have about the information given out by governments prior to the invasion, i think the capture of saddam hussain is a fantastic achievment.. i think the world will be a safer place when the international community will act together to remove such signal threats to peace and when those who violate human rights and support inter-state aggression know they will be brought to justice, even if they are the head-of-state.

"Why show me these things if I am beyond all hope?"
by SanFranciscoJim ini just got finished watching yet another version of a christmas carol (this time, the one starring patrick stewart -- one of the better remakes).. those who are familiar with the story will recall when the mysterious ghost of christmas yet to come escorts scrooge into the cemetery and shows him his own grave, scrooge replies with the question: "why show me these things if i am beyond all hope?".
perhaps it's just my usual holiday season depression, but i am in a particularly dark mood tonight.. no spirits have ever visited me.
even god has not made his presence known to me in any manner that i would consider what the bible refers to as "evident demonstration".. i therefore have to draw the conclusion that either my time has not come yet (which i hope), or that i am indeed beyond all hope.

Troll dolls and Smurfs - oh my!
by Jim_TX inhow many here have in their possession troll dolls or smurf dolls?.
i am not sure about the rest of the world, but here in the states - these were considered 'demonistic' (oooohhhh!
), and were pretty much forbidden in the toyboxes of children.. since i have left, i have acquired a few for myself - one sits on the refrigerator - with a magnet - another on a shelf around here ... somewhere (he seems to walk around on his own *grin*).. sooooo... how about you?.

1941 -- 1914
by stillajwexelder ininteresting after the infamous pearl harbor -- many of that "generation" are dying off -- hell it was 60 years ago -- it was a full 37 years after 1914 -- i know 1914 was an important year -- but surely 1941 was more significant -- 1945 with the nuke was also very significant and 1957 with the dawn of the space age -- leaving aside your wtbts prejudices -- which year in the last century was the most marked year?
