bringing together all of the stories they told thus far and placing them int he "new world" complete with the little boy who was killed in a car accident coming back from the dead.. i have a good friend who is stuck in with family and plays the role.

If this has been said before, I apologize but to me, they are using Brain's (from Pinky and the Brain) idea to take over the world.

I only found this clip but you may recall Brain is trying to suppress Pinky's emotions so that he may become more analytical and help him with his plans.

Brain uses tape to force Pinky's eyes open (a sort of tribute to Orange Clockwork) and starts broadcasting a series of sad images aimed at rendering him impertubable and brilliant. The last set of images is similar to "The Lion King" (that's the one I attach).

By the end of it, Brain is crying as well and the best part is Pinky comforting Brain with this phrase:

"AW, IT'S ALL RIGHT, BRAIN. NO ONE CAN RESIST A TERRIFICALLY MANIPULATIVE CONTRIVANCE WITH SWELLING MUSIC, EXCEPT MAYBE G. GORDON LIDDY."

That episode was broadcast in 1995 so you could say it only took 21 years for the Watchtower to tune their manipulation techniques.

In a few months they'll be just saying this is a "loving way" in which "Jehovah" (not the organization or the Guardians) is SIMPLIFYING the procedures like "HE" did when they started asking for donations (to prevent taxation) or when they got rid of the book study meeting or when they supposedly said Bethel was to be closed on Saturdays so that Bethelites could devote more time to preaching...

What I do see is that, like it's happening in many activities, computers are definitely taking over. They've seen they can "preach" using their broadcasting programs and show videos to people instead of reading from their bibles. IMO JW.ORG is certainly replacing the old Watchtower now.

The worst thing is that many (if not the majority) of JWs will see all of this as mere "simplification arrangements".

Of course, right now they will all start thinking "the end is here" and relating current events to what their organization is going through (pretty much the hype they had last year when the kingdom was about to celebrate its 100th birthday, remember?) but after a while, they will all just say "the chariot is moving" or "the light got brighter" or "the chicken crossed the road" and end up accepting everything as a "loving way in which Jehovah (not the organization) simplified things for the best".

They'll interview FORMER SPECIAL PIONEERS in the assemblies and conventions and they'll be excited about being interviewed and share their experience saying how the brothers in their congregations made arrangements for them to stay there in their assignment, and they'll even say they thank Jehovah God for being so loving and caring...

Just to show how affected one can be when he/she's part of this cult:

I had a brief discussion with a JW friend about this. To cut a long story short this was his reply:

"Jehovah's chariot if moving at its fullest speed now and "the organization" is clearly telling us that this is the time to preach; that's why they're sending them all as regular pioneers, remember that magazine that compared the last days to the fall of the walls of Jericho? [w08 7/15 pages 3-7] Well, this is it!"

Though I knew it was pointless to go on, I made another attempt to point out the fact that this "cut down" is affecting those who preached the most in the organization, devoting 130 hours a month to their ministry. I told him I did not see how terminating Special Pioneers (or some of them) could actually be compared to the israelites being told to march seven times around Jericho. "It's quite the opposite you know" - I said.

His reply:

"That's why they're being requested to fill in an application as regular pioneers. It's clear that the urgency has increased."

I saw how pointless it was to continue that debate. Pointless, sad and pathetic! He's actually looking forward to the meeting on Sunday because he says the letter that will be read will undoubtedly contain specific instructions regarding our survival. I did try to "warn" him not to be so enthusiastic about it and told him "they'll probably just announce a new meeting or new books" but... that's just the way it is for many of the friends who are still lobotomized.

Well, cappytan couldn't have said it better: It is the GUARDIANS of the Doctrine of course and actually they do mention that in the letter (those cheeky fellows):

So, I think it works this way. The Guardians decide "let's cut down X% of special pioneers" and then the branch says who remains and who is to be sacked.

Now, those Circuit Overseers, Bethelites and Special Pioneers that are not being terminated may want to learn something from this cartoon:

Sadly, it's for real!

Our friend "Medieval" at the extj.com forum (in Spanish) has confirmed it and he actually claims to have letters addressed to other 4 pioneers with the same pattern and gibberish.

It would be great if someone could provide a letter sent by another branch.

Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS

i don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.

cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.

of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

I think it's very easy to say "he should have counter-noticed".

The paperwork involved, the time it takes and the risks involved (including the possibility of getting into a time-consuming lawsuit) are not worth fighting for IMO.

Theocratic Ministry School . . . is still there AND longer?

so i made a timeline based on the leaked letter, it is as follows:.

Pretty much the same. I think they actually starting preparing people by modifying the former Talk No. 4 (nowadays No. 3 I think), which had to ways to be presented: If it was based on the Insight book and assigned to a brother, it remained being a talk, but if it was based on the New World Translation the instructions were as follows:

When material based on the New World Translation is assigned to a brother, it should be presented as a demonstration of family study or of field service. The assistant should be a member of the student’s family or a brother in the congregation. Usually, the school overseer will assign the assistant and the setting. If an elder is given this assignment to demonstrate the art of teaching, he may select his own assistant and the setting. Additional scriptures that highlight Bible principles that tie in with the theme may be included.

I somehow think, they were preparing people to accept having a new "school" where the three talks are given as mere demonstrations or presentations.
