  Revelation Grand Climax Re-studied?

  i was just informed that the wtbts has issued some addendums to the old outdated fading light revelation climax book & that it is going to be the next book re-studied.

  has anyone else heard this, is it true?

  Also heard from an Elder, that the new revelation book's addendum differs to the BIBLE TEACH BOOK.

  yes, after the study of "WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH" (which is currently 1/3 done) the new revelation book WILL be studied by all the JW in the world!

  why are departing jw's bitter?

  i say the bitterness is directly proportional to the amount of emotional committment we made to their teachings.

  if we accepted them wholeheartedly, the bitterness was immense as we discovered the lies and coverups, while getting the blame on the missed date predictions, and seeing the ever-increasing legalistic structure of the society, not to even mention the shunning by loved ones who still remain.

  I'm not angry. I'm soooo grateful that I did not get baptized after studying on and off for almost 40 years. I am learning so much MORE about bible teachings now, then the misleading things I learned while in with the JW. Not agry at all. OK, a little insulted that no one has reached out to me. Thought they would be in hot pursuit. Not a call from anyone...Am I being shunned???

  Didn't JW's do the "updating" thing with the Babylon book like the Rev book

  maybe some of the oldtimers might remember, but i seem to remember in the early 1980's that the wts "updated" the babylon the great book where many of the old light was thrown out.

  i was a teenager but i remember studying the book again in the 80's and some jw's were upset by the changes.

  if they do the same thing with the revelation grand climax book aren't they afraid that those oldtimers might get disgusted and leave the org?

  Yeah, I remember the Babylon book. Wasn't it red? and the old Revelation book, as well. The explanation for changes are always answered in the same manner: "THE LIGHT IS GETTING BRIGHTER" I don't recall a second Babylon book. Only 2 revelation books since 1967. And the new one I understand defers to the "WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH" book. Released at last years assembly.

  Oh, my gosh! This is exactly what I was looking for!!!! Tall Penguin, take a look at this. Lady Lee, I have my answer! I feel like I have been duped. Feel vindicated for the halting of my studys with the JW now,(sort of) There is always that little doubt in the back of my mind towards the organization. Every thing I have studied since 1970 has always sounded like the truth.

  the jws are soon(next few months) going to make a public proclamation against all other churches which he was confident would 'shake things up' and would make a few jws unhappy???.

  is this the big announcement for september?

  Jehovah's Witnesses know and want their numbers to go down: that will fulfill the prophecy of the goats being separated from the sheep. Nothing new about their indictment against "Babylon the Great". They expect the first thing to happen before Armeggedon is the downfall of false religion, veratably eaten up by the political systems that be!

  i read an interesting question on one of my threadshow many people at bethel were anointed?

  how many of those were on the gb?can you estimate the percentage of people at bethel who were anointed vs non-anointed?

  thanks, Lady for you're interest. Sort off got some answers about the annointed. However, I did post some study work I did myself at the Library. It seems among maybe 12 of the governing body, 3 the most are claiming to be "annointed" but that the president has the last word in publications. Also this book said that the way the brothers get on the governing body is how much stock they own in the society.

  Book was "The Enclyclopedia of Cults and New Religions" Very thick!

  Anxiety symptoms

  ever since i stopped my study i have gotten completely depressed, unable to sleep, i really depended on my study group to keep me sane and give me purpose but now my bi-polar symptoms have come back with a vengeance.

  i thought about going to another church because ruminuating on a creator did help me sleep at night and now i have not slept for four days.

  i never realized how much i was becoming dependent on the religious structure.

  I'm just the opposite....I feel such a feeling of peace now that I stopped studying...Wonder why? And I've been under a pychiatrist's care for many years. Also on anxiety meds. Maybe I have a shot at getting off them. (also take them for Multiple Sclerosis) so maybe not!

  i'm brand new here but have been reading for months.

  my sincere thanks to those who have come before me, shown me that i'm not alone, that i'm not nuts and not a loser.

  i was raised a hoho, pioneered my best years away, i married a nice brother, my dad was an elder, one or of both my parents have been pioneers for 30 years+, we hosted bethel speakers and gb members in our home, my parents have had numerous circuit ass.
