Jesus was thirty was he was baptized. Today, you hear of young children getting baptized as young as 10 years old. The parents, family and congregation think it's a wonderful idea that someone dedicates their life to Jehovah at such a young age. They are then required to turn in a field service report, comment at meetings, and give talks at the Ministerial School.

I think the real reason the Society wants young children to get baptized at such a young age is that they can scare and disfellowship these young children if and when they start smoking, drinking, having sex, trying drugs, and anything else the Society disapproves. The Society cannot handle what normal young children and teens might go through. It's better to remove them!

What do you think is the main reason the Watchtower Society baptize their children so young?

Some of this Baptisms at a young age was spurred on by the acceptance that judgment day is really coming soon , so parents thought it would be advantageous for their children to get baptized, as further assurance that their children would be saved.

Devotion by baptism to Jehovah through Jesus Christ means even by children adding assurance toward themselves of not being killed, also insuring the acceptance of JC as their own personal redeemer.

There is lot that rides on fear in JW land, some of that imposing fear reaches the very young and impressionable.

@Rules you forget that at the time that Jesus walked the earth John the Baptist just started with baptising people.

furthermore billions of people (in other denominations that consider themselves christian) are baptised right after they are born

Anyway the main reason is,... WHY NOT baptise Teens?  We let them make career and education choices that influence them the rest of their lifes at that age so why not the choice to serve Jehovah?

there are  biblical examples of young people who make a stand for Jehovah,.. Samuel did, David did,.. Jesus did, to name a few

IMO, if you're not old enough to get married, you're not old enough to get baptized.

One reason may be to increase their numbers. Watchtower is obsessed with increasing their ranks. How better than to add to the numbers by getting them young.

Children are acceptable to act upon the behavioral aspects and learning of their parents.

Did you copy that info directly from the pages of the Watchtower ?

Of course WTS leaders want more people getting baptized, it helps in the support of the organization of which they play a leading role. The WTS is very concerned about the number of people they have . $$$

Once ones are baptized they have more intervening control over those people by their own means.

They want to get them responsible to God, sign that verbal contract, before they hit puberty, smoking, fornication, drugs, alcohol, worldly boy/girlfriends, etc.

Also the WTS sneakily teaches that only baptized jws will survive Armageddon scaring parents into getting their children baptized as young as possible to be protected from the end.

Could it be that you hesitate to take this important step for fear of being held accountable should you fall into wrong conduct? If so, think of this: Would you refuse to apply for a driver’s license simply because you were afraid that some day you might have an accident? Of course not! Neither should you hesitate to get baptized if you qualify. Indeed, you will be strongly motivated to do your utmost to resist wrongdoing if you have dedicated your life to Jehovah and have agreed to do his will. (Philippians 4:13) Young ones, please do not imagine that by postponing baptism, you avoid accountability. When you have reached the age of responsibility, you are answerable to Jehovah for the way you act whether you are baptized or not.—Romans 14:11, 12.

Blondie's comments show the imposing guilt created by the WTS. to subdue devotion  indirectly to themselves and the publishing organization .

When one gets baptized in the JW religion, you vow devotion to the GB directors of the WTS.
