I'm sure that it's got their lawyers worried about the Org's tax-exempt status...

...and thusly the Org's ability to pay them.

The Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses’ U.S. branch based in upstate Wallkill, declined to comment on the pending lawsuits “out of respect for the judicial process and the privacy of those involved."

It is said there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics. The quote above is from the news article. I believe the WT statement to qualify as a damned lie! They have zero respect for the judicial process, unless it is in their favor. And anyone who has had even the most "innocent" of dealings with a group of elders knows they have no respect for any individuals privacy.

They "decline to comment" because they are following the old maxim, "Don't speak when you can mumble. And don't mumble when you can remain silent. " They have nothing to say in their own defense that will stand the light of day.

AWESOME! I'm sure thanks go to Irwin Zalkin, Esq. and our renown, Barbara Anderson.

WT will have to hire some real guns in the legal community for this litigation -- not that they don't already.

The saddest part is that all the regular J-dubs will think that these poor, abuse survivors are evil apostates out for some cash. Completely dehumanizing the victims.

Once the 2 new NY lawsuits are filed we will know whether the Governing Body members are being sued individually or whether they are being sued collectively as the Governing Body. Some here are under the impression that they will be sued individually. Is there any confirmation of this?
