If something they say proves to be wrong, or needs "amending with new light", was God wrong, or were they?

That question shouldn't even be asked until it is shown that there even is a "faithful and discreet slave". It seems that the passage of scripture that contains the term is parabolic, not prophetic.

No, they do not lead the "congregation." The "congregation" is the body of Christ, aka Christian believers. If they believe they are the boss of everyone, they are the "evil slave", but that can't be true...

They are the boss of the rank&file, who are not part of the congregation. The R&F don't know this, of course.
