  I think that in the case of Dr. Applewhite, money talks, in fact money talks bull$hit. They pay her to present a cozy moral, caring image for the WT.

  Her testimony before the Royal Commission was exposed as lacking factual basis.She was shown up to be inaccurate in her report and that makes one doubt her integrity, she was either colluding or she was totally ignorant, in either case she's not a truthful expert nor accurate witness.

  How could she ever be used in any child abuse courtcases, like the Conti case, when she has obviously sold her reputation on behalf of the WT and for their 0rganizational Corporate benefit against child abuse victims.

  Bottom line: Both the above are in bed with one another! The WTBTS has a need and the Dr. can satisfy that need. As offensive as it may be to some...that's the nature of the relationship between the two.

  I think that the WTS soliciting and getting the support of a woman who is of the Catholic faith speaks to larger issues.

  What this Royal Commission is revealing about the JW judical system will have an impact on the Catholic Church and their procedures. there is much overlap between the WTS system and the Catholic heirachal system of governance.. The RC's criticism of the JWs' process is knocking on the door of ecclesiastical privledge. The Catholic Church may be heavily invested in the outcome of these hearings.

  The JWs, and neither the Catholic Church, do not want to let go of their right to hear and collect confidential information on their congregants. Especially the right to collect evidence on, and process, those "oh so sensitive child sex cases" that come across their desks so regularly.

  I view Applewhite's submission in the same light as to what the WTS did for Jimmy Swaggart. She offered supporting testimony for the WTS' position (and, in the same sweep, for her own religion). That is all that Applewhite's testimony was - witness testimony, not 'expert' witness testimony.

  DR Applewhite should be a case study on the lengths people will go for the almighty dollar, and perhaps be included as a case study of expert witness testimony for horrendous cultic behavior and moral limits people will go to to sell their soul to the evil that exist in society and keep it in perpetuation.

Specific rules and regulations are contained in various sections of some state license statutes, state Societies for Clinical Social Work, and the National Association of Social Workers. Watered down snake oil from gun for hire!!! social workers who deal with the victims of WT society and other quasi religious organisations over the world will be horrified!!!

  I am disgusted by the WTBTS' stooping soo low as to use the rank and files' donations to hire someone like Dr. Applewhite to whitewash the Society's involvement and corruption associated with child molestation.

  The topic of CNN's reporting of the Royal Commission investigating WT's mishandling of child molestation cases came up again today with another fellow JW (sister) who also is aware of the CNN report. For several hours I shared the link with her where Dr. Applewhite is testifying on behalf of WT as a hired expert witness and not only was she surprised but disgusted as well.

  As time goes on more and more JWs are going to find out about 'Mother's' whorish behavior!
