Let me guess ... God uses 'small print' and the WT can claim that 'He' tells them to do something but this doesn't really mean that 'He' spoke to them.

When I ask these kind of questions I usually get the reply:
There are certain things which are not directly stated in the Bible but they are implyed. [ Place example of something not directly stated but obviously implied here]
So you see...They werent claiming to be inspired.
