  Your point was about the sun absorbing material to remain shining for long (actually, that would shorten it's lifespan, but whatever), your quote was about something entirely different. Sorry, but you don't get to retro-fit your erroneous claims and now try to say they match something completely different.

  just asking: both sides of an equation balance out to zero, but there is there not value on both sides? adding up now , but aslo cancelling out at the end?

  look at an equation as weights on a balanced beam. you can manipulate them multiply both by 2. equality is unchanged, but the total value on both side quadruplet.

  to me,and some others here, the idea that the universe has zero energy because energy/velocities & mass, gravity are ~ balanced, does not mean that the universe has no energy, or was created without energy input.

  It took energy to make and put these balancing weights on the scale.

  On shining longer: perhaps the wt god can have the sun expell the ashes, the iron, in exchange for the new exo-galactic gas to give the sun longer luster but keep the total mass below the collapse-limit.

  all that to keep the promise of eternal life on this non-eternal planet energized by the [now]non-eternal sun
