    3.

Why did Jesus say that his disciples would not complete their circuit of preaching "until the son of man arrives"? (Matt. 10:23) [Jan. 14, w10 9/15 p. 10 par. 12; w87 8/1 p. 8 par. 6]

Jesus was prophetically telling us that his disciples would not give a personal witness about God's established Kingdom to every individual on the planet before Armageddon.

Well, I guess you would have to believe this way as a witness, since if you just used common sense you'd see that there is no way everyone in the Middle East and Asia can be preached to. But, what then?

Does God look at their hearts and let them live if they are good and could be taught "truth"? Do we have strange groups of Buddhists and Muslims who are segregrated and kept penned up by holy spirit as we teach them the "truth"? Or do people who never were preached to and never had a chance and were just born in the wrong place die?

I can't understand how I ever thought this was normal or logical. I can't understand how this comment is going to be given and discussed with a straight face tonight.

As I understand it, if they didn't get a witness then they get a resurrection.

You then need to ask about those that died in the flood. They supposedly will not get a resurrection as this was a judgement period. So did Noah reach everyone then?

    Wrong!

Per JW theology, there is "community responsibility". It was one of Freddy Franz's "great" ideas.

That is, if your "community" (which can be as big as the entire country) has "rejected Jehovah", then every inhabitant of that community (or country) gets zapped by Jesus' fiery flameballs as well.

Yep, all 1.3 billion Chinese, 1 billion + Indians, hundreds of millions of Muslims, etc.....all vaporized because their "community" didn't recognize that Jesus has been "invisibly ruling" since 1914.

    Nice, huh?

Our circuit overseer last year stated with full confidence from the platform that every single individual on earth will hear the "good news" before Jesus executes justice. He went on to say that we don't know how this will be fully accomplished - but "don't give up" in the preaching activity. And...then said that the new JW.org website will surely play a part in spreading the message earthwide.

The audience was full of dopey smiling faces.

I remember in ISOCF where Franz mentions how the society normally stays clear from muslim countries to avoid banishment for the gospel the WT preaches. Also, its pretty clear they will stone Jws for apostasy. Proselytizing to Muslims is a punishable offense in most Arab countries. Sorry WT it appears Muhammed's ministry beat you to the punch about 1400 years ago.

This is one of their weakest teachings.

If everyone needs a witness, then they need to get their shit together. Use TV, radio, internet, leaflets over N. Korea, etc to get the word out. Of course the GB use "preaching door to door", the worst method ever invented to proclaim their life saving message.

If everyone doesn't need a witness, then 1) Jehovah is a jerk because he is going to kill off billions who have never heard of him, or 2) lots of people in these countries win the religion lottery if Jehovah reads hearts. Because they were born into a non-Christian country, they get a free pass at the Big A when they are spared because they are just good people inside.

Of course, number 2 is NOT a JW teaching, but you will hear JWs trying spin it like that when pressed about why Jehovah is going to be such a jerk and kill off billions of people who don't even know who he is!

    Comatose,

Blondie made the following comment a few years back.

Not much new and coincides with this written statement in the WT:

*** w00 1/15 p. 13 par. 17 "Keep on the Watch" ***Fifth, we see a global preaching work being accomplished, which Jesus said would take place just before the end of this system. Jesus stated: "This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) Today, that prophecy is in the course of fulfillment on an unprecedented scale. True, untouched territories still exist, and it may be that in Jehovah’s due time, a large door leading to greater activity will open . (1 Corinthians 16:9) Nevertheless, the Bible does not state that Jehovah will wait until every individual on earth has received a personal witness. Rather, the good news must be preached to Jehovah’s satisfaction. Then the end will come.—Compare Matthew 10:23.

But then the next paragraph says:

*** w00 1/15 p. 13 par. 18 "Keep on the Watch" ***Sixth, the number of genuine anointed disciples of Christ is dwindling, though some will evidently still be on earth when the great tribulation begins. Most of the remnant are quite elderly, and over the years the number of those who are truly anointed has been getting smaller.

    And in 1965

    *** w65 9/15 pp. 575-576 Questions From Readers ***

Since millions of persons in China and other places have never heard the Kingdom message, will these people be preserved through the destruction of Babylon the Great and the war of Armageddon, or perhaps be resurrected later?—H.S., U.S.A.It is important to understand what the Bible says about the destruction to come at the end of this system of things. In his illustration of the sheep and the goats Jesus indicated that a separating work would be done "when the Son of man arrives in his glory," and that persons would be classed as either "sheep" or "goats." (Matt. 25:31-46) In part, the basis for the separation would be the reaction of people to the preaching of the good news of the established kingdom. That preaching work is now being done by Jehovah’s witnesses. Jesus explained that those on earth who favorably responded to that message and treated kindly its bearers would be classed as "sheep" and would enter into "everlasting life." The rest of mankind who did not respond favorably to the preaching work and offered no aid to those who carried the Kingdom message would be classed as "goats" and would go, not into a temporary death, but into "everlasting cutting-off" at the time when judgment is executed.

But some persons, appreciating that millions of people are to be resurrected and given an opportunity to serve God, wonder if the millions of individuals living today who apparently have never heard the Kingdom message preached will be everlastingly destroyed without ever having had a witness about God’s purposes. It is true that at present it appears that there are vast numbers of mankind who have not heard the Kingdom preaching. Also, from what the Bible says and from conditions in the world, we know that we are in the "last days." But we do not know just how much more will be accomplished in preaching the Kingdom message before the end comes. (2 Tim. 3:1-5; Matt. 24:3-13) If at the end of the second world war someone had said that the Kingdom preaching would be carried out, by more than a million publishers, in over 190 lands, including communistic countries, many might have found that hard to believe. Yet, Jehovah has blessed his people, and that is exactly what is being accomplished. So, if it is Jehovah’s will to have this message personally carried to the millions on earth who seemingly have not yet heard it, that will be accomplished. If he chooses, he could see to it that this message is spread in ways that we cannot yet imagine . Jesus did foretell that "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matt. 24:14) We can rest assured that God will see that the preaching work is done to his satisfaction. After that "the end" comes.

Then those who correspond with "goats," whether in China or elsewhere, will be pronounced "cursed" and will not be permitted to survive that "end" into God’s new order of things. Since these go into symbolic "fire" (like the Devil and his angels), their punishment will be everlasting. They will never be resurrected.—Matt. 25:41-46.

"Just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; and you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."—Ps. 37:10, 11.

When you are told all the time that all "worldly people" are evil, immoral degenerates, then I guess it helps to harden the heart about their death. After all we will be so happy to have God's name vindicated and his enemies destroyed... I remember imagining myself breaking out into song spontaneously as I walked out of my home and saw the fires still burning and smoke rising on the death of billions. I'm ashamed I could feel that way.

Why would Jesus who loved the children and let them come to him and told the harlot he did not condemn her either and to go her way slaughter so many children and innocents? Creepy.
