Yeah, had he mentioned JW's it would have puffed up their inflated self importance, satan had attacked, the end was near, how do we anwer this out in service------------nothing like some good old persecution to put the sheep in line.

Great movie! Here's an odd tidbit: Before we got DF'd, a JW friend of mine (a devoutish MS) said he'd watched it and thought it was funny. I was surprised he enjoyed it. I guess he had his blinders on since it was making fun of, y'know, other religions as opposed to "true Christians".

One of my favorite movies!!!
As Undercover said, he needed to have someone do more fact-checking before he rattled off all those comparisons to Jesus - I also wondered about the "Horus-Jesus" connection and haven't gotten around to checking them out...
AND he totally missed Dionysus!! Who has several theological points in common with "Jesus", and within a decent time-frame to have influenced the evolution of Christianity.
AND his inability to comment effectively to that "Creationist Museum" curator - I came up with at least 2 good responses that Maher could have used....
But the movie - over all - hilarious!!!

I don't know whether these YouTube links will work... Bil Maher has complained on his show about the copyright infringement of YouTubers posting "Religulous", and stated that he and his lawyers get the film segments pulled as fast as they come onto YouTube...
