Ya, even in Texas you are facing serious jail time if caught packing heat going door to door. The difference is you are entering people's private property uninvited. If you are cited for tresspassing it's an escalated crime with a weapon. If anything was to happen where you actually had to use a weapon you would be tried for murder. No matter what happened, you entered their property unannounced with a weapon and began a confrontational conversation about religion. That meets the case of provocation in most jurys.
