I was at a "gathering" (Ohh how I hate that JW-centric word) with my wife and wound up sitting at a table alone with a particular elder. After a few pleasantries and after giving short curt answers to a few standard elder interview questions about what is normally between people personal business, he' goes on and starts talking about the youth of today, how they seem to have no direction or goals, and how important it is to be educated.
At first, I got the feeling that this guy was wither on the fence or that, at least, on the issue of education he was deliberately obtuse to the WT's current stance, but later he turned riht into WT cult mode and started talking about end times, armageddon, and how JW are so far ahead of the game because of the information they have and what they know.
