This is a sad thread.
For some, the dreams aren't necessarily lost.
Consider going to college now, switching to the career you really wanted, renew wedding vows in the kind of ceremony you always wanted, etc.
If you want to think outside the box, start up an XJW support group in your area and trick or treat at each other's houses, organize your own belated proms, etc.
In December, you can go as a group to the nearest KH, poke your heads in, and wish them all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
