when reading all of the variety of toppics on this site it appears by the lack of responses that some dont really care about your subject? or they just cant find the word to say, or they mosly like reading but not commenting. And some subjects ive read that have had many comments compared to others are just plane stupid as hell. (sorry for my opinion we all have one) This is not nessasaraly a good or bad thing but it has to be questioned when u get 9 comments 2 are your own and find out at the top right hand of the screen that its been viewed 357 times.

So to get more interaction and insight into the minds on jwn

what make U comment?

why do u just view?

or are there just lurkers doing a lot of lurking? Talk to me

There are all sorts of reasons why sometimes we do not post.

Some new threads are downright boring, (not very often)

Other times we may have recently had a thread on the same subject.

For some maybe they dont not have the time to always post a comment.

Other times the topic is supeseeded by a new topic, and not all posters know you can still post in the archive section of the site

Probably other reasons but that will do for now. I need a coffee.

I think time is an issue at least for me. I don't always have the time to comment. I usually only comment on threads that touch me personally and I can relate to or on something that I have a strong opinion.

If I feel like there are others here who are likely to make the same point I want to make, and who will do it better, I sometimes just keep quiet.

Also, if the thread is about personal drama I have little to say. Political threads, I am not very active. I dislike threads where a troll has stolen the attention and is being fed, even if it is with mockery.

And sometimes there is more to say than there is time to say it, so I just say nothing.

But mostly I just post when I feel like it and don't when I don't. It's more of a gut/mood thing.

Some posts interest different people. Some posters are evidently friends ( at least cyber friends).

And as someone said, its sometimes a question of time.

Personally, I'm more prone to posts where the poster is struggling with jw family relations.

Maybe its because its the reason why I started posting.

I find that usually there are people who are so much better at saying things than I am and cleverer and some are very funny.

I don't know why I actually comment at all.

I like reading the comments of others although I often just skim

yeah some are repetative, just look at all the memorial threads we had this month.

Hi TLD, this is an interesting thread.

I read as much as I can of the threads but do not always have time to comment. I print off what I think will be of interest to my parents to help satisfiy their need to see they are not the only ones having serious questions regarding the WBTS.

In the past I quite often found I was the death nell of any threads I commented on...........a little discouraging to make further comments.

Despite 50 yrs a JW from a very young age my interests in life have nothing to do with the bible, I do not even like the bible so do not have the in depth knowledge of the scriptures some on this forum have...........I do not comment on this type of discussion thread

The threads I enjoy are the ones that really take the WBTS to task.
