About 20 pairs...shoeaholic here, but I get most of them cheap...I find lots of amost new shoes and new shoes at thrift stores and garage sales.
I don't wear high heels though...I have one partially fused ankle because I dislocated it many years ago, and I can't bend it enough to wear a heel over an inch and a half high.

I never buy used shoes. They wear into your foot, and you're not doing your posture, your feet, your outlook, or your health any favors by wearing someone else's old shoes.

I don't buy used shoes, either. It's like buying used underwear or used socks with all that old sweat and stains.

at the risk of "shooting myself in the foot" here
i really don't find anything redeeming about them...
they contribute to back and foot injuries (both parents
in medical professions, dr and nurse so i heard it all!)
they just arent my cuppa tea, dont like the look or
the distorted gait one has to walk while wearing themAND at least half the shoes i own were someone else's first
(my gay older brother HATED my shoes, go figger...
still miss you, michael, but i aint wearing heels!) -
