    Spike,

If you "mark" an elder, wouldn't you get in trouble for disrespecting one of the stars of the congregation? How do you listen and obey someone who you mark as undesirable to be around?

"Marking" is a private action. I don't tell others when I "mark" them. I just avoid pointless conversations. Headship is relative: if the person I've "marked" holds personal views that are matters of conscience, I don't stumble them by mentioning personal challenges that I know the "marked" one can't help me overcome. Not consulting someone who gives bad advice (even if that one is an "elder") isn't showing disrespect; it's showing a power of reason, which is required for all thinking Christians. After all, each of us must carry our own load, unless it's thrown (or, rolled) to Jehovah.
