I'm glad this a$$wipe pedophile was given a sentence, although not long enough. But once again, herein lies a problem in the witness cult . We see that his family tried preventing his exposure by the wife destroying the hard drive with evidence, and his own adult children misguidingly protecting him. So in all the JW congregations with pedophiles ; it shows that these days not only do we have to worry about elders hiding child abuse by not reporting, but family members who are told wrongly by elders to protect the alleged " reputation " of the WT society ! I think this whole organization should just implode from within within the next 20 years or so. I hope a high profile member of the governing body gets huge media coverage for being caught as a pedophile so more witnesses will hear the real truth of what's going on

He was allegedly found to have over 700 indecent images of children on his computers, then allegedly had family members destroy evidence.
How wonderful that Jehovah keeps the congregation clean before harm can be done to victims.
Remember the Witchtower states that "in the last hundred years ony eleven (?!) elders have been sued for chold molestation."
FIXED: "in the last hundred years ony eleven elders have been sued for child molestation. The other 999,999 were deleted as elders before the lawsuits were filed."

Probably serve only 3 years if he shows good behaviour. standard practice for all but the most dangerous offenders. And he'll be a 'section 43' prisoner - kept apart from the main prison population for his own safety - they don't like paedophiles very much!
of those 3 years, he's already served 18 months.
so he'll be back on the streets in around 18 months time
.... If they run the sentences concurrently though, he could be already back on the loose - frightening innit?!

Information is a bit sketchy about this loathsome man. He has been a JW for 26 years ( according to his friends reunited profile) but not showing on the list of current elders , so if he was an elder , he was presumably deleted some time ago. The first case collapsed after the jury failed to reach a verdict.
The JW link isn't mentioned in other reports - anecdotally , I think that JWs are advised not to mention nowadays their specific religion , but rather that a member of "their church" abused them , so stopping "Jehovah's name being brought into reproach."

Judas was supposedly a good person who made some major mistakes. Didn't Jesus forgive him afterwards? Which would have to mean that he was repentant and had a good heart.
Pedophiles:
- Were never good people to begin with (sociopaths cannot be 'good people')
- Are not repentant (if they say they are, they're lying. Sociopaths aren't capable of repentance, only disappointment at being caught.)
- Do not have a good heart (they have nothing but evil up in there)

whereas i did know 5 non-witness pedophiles of which only two got imprisoned the others were hushed up by family members and guilty mothers since two of them were 'stepfathers' brought into the home by a gullable single mums.
the world is a sick place but what I find even more sickening is the use people make of this to their own anti-witness ends I only hope the readers are not foolish enough to believe you only find pedophiles in Jw congregations as you would have them believe and so be to trusting of other churches or orgs which have equal amounts of preditors to keep your children safe from.
Your blinkers blind you to the damage you do by not seeing this as a world-wide problem for safe-guards to be taken in all aspects of our lifes when we have kids.
I was talking to a woman today in my childs swiming class she had what I thought was her 3 year old son with her we were just chatting I said the usual 'he looks like you' and she said 'Oh no i'm fostering and hopefully adopting soon' then she sigh sadly and says quietly ' he was a victim of his father sexually. they had to get him away the mother didn't stop the dad'. the little boy is tiny I was horrified and this was not a witness setting at all -

He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Denbigh and held weekly bible studies at his home in St Asaph.
He did regular ministerial work, (in his quest to befriend families with little girls)
We first met him when he and other witnesses were doing thier field work/ministry in our area, calling from door to door.
We honestly thought he was a decent fellow and over the months of bible studies he charmed his way into our lives (as he had done with many other families with young children) and befriended us.
We trusted his family, wife , four sons, brother etc... and never realised he had other, sinister, intentions towards our children.
We now consider ourselves and our children very lucky that we declined his frequent offers to take our two little girls to play at his 'retreat'.
It transpired that all along that a large number of the congregation, elders included, actually knew all along that he was a paedophile and molesting young girls , but they managed to keep it secret until Bob became more and more careless with his crimes and was arrested for the attemped abduction of a 5 year old girl.
