Thanks to BlueBrother, Quirky1 and all the others for the comments.
Let me give a little background information that might make this a bit more clear for everybody. My wife was brought into this religion at approx. the age of 12-13 in this same small town(15000 pop.) that we still live in. I was raised as a JW in another state, and have lived here for 11 years. We've been married 13 great years, and have been through alot together, including her illness(End-Stage Renal failure). It may sound ludicrous, but excepting the peritoneal dialysis, done at home, and suffering from fatigue, my wife is actually in very good health. Her other organ systems are in excellent shape, and this has made her a prime candidate for a kidney transplant, of which she is expected to do very well. I've given the writing of this letter, indeed this whole step, a serious amount of thought, and have come to the conclusion that it's best to just get it out of the way.
Now, as for this affecting her relationship with this congregation, I've lucked out, in that she actually attends a Spanish congregation a few miles away. This may not help much, but who knows?
As for the person that told them the comment from my boss; She's a JW of long standing, and close personal friend of the old PO
