Yah he was the only thing worth watching in the IT movie . That and Rocky Horror picture show are the only two movies I think I've seen with him in .He does a great job with the over acting which in order to be a good actor I think is something you need to be able to do to make characters interesting . Guys like bill shatner and jim carey are others that can make it work big time .

You do kinda look like him BFD.
He is a really good actor, but I wouldn't call him the best. I'd rate Anthony Hopkins as one of the best actors. Johnny Depp is an amazing actor. Not to mention, great eye candy.

Alan Rickman is absolutely spot on as Professor Snape. There isn't a creepier actor alive. I haven't seen anything else he has been in, but evidently many think he is a great actor.
