OK nobody's mentioned the Doors (page 3)

In the movie on the Doors with Val Kilmer, I guess they actually had to be kicked off stage at a club because Jim Morrison got pretty lurid with the f word in singing the song " The End ". The guy was brilliant , but he was his own worst enemy hindering his full capabilities by his alcoholism and inability to restrain himself just a tad. Can you imagine the songs he and the Doors could have written if he had lived on through the 70's and 80's till today ? I really feel we would be talking about them in the same breath as Led Zeppelin, Beatles , and the Rolling Stones. Do some agree with that statement ? Fair enough ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper

I agree wholeheartedly. If you compare their body of work in the short span they were together, they do rival them. Robbie Kreiger was and is an excellent guitarist, and Jim's dark lyrics stand up to anyones.

Now show me the way to the next whiskey bar . . . oh, I can't do that anymore!

Touch Me and Love Her Madly are my two favorites. Nothing beats the sound of those two songs on a good Quadrophonic stereo system! :)

I actually have a quad CD-4 copy of the old Best Of LP. No more Shibata stylus, though...sigh

DONE 4 GOOD- Those are 2 of my favorite songs too. Especially Love Her Madly . Strange Days is a great album ! CD-4 copy ? Cool !
