Perfect scripture. They are standing firm, in one place and not moving forward to better themselves or help others, etc. etc.

My parents have been told sh*t like this for over 50 years. They will "stand firm" with this organization and die before there's any salvation from the "old system."
The text should be "Stand Firm with us because we need free labor to distribute our worthless literature"

Is that like their motto or something for the next year? Do they get T-shirts with it emblazoned across the front or what?

Yes it is their motto for the year. It is put in the front of their daily text book with a wonderful "explanation" of how encouraging it should be to the faithful dubs.
Also the year text is displayed prominently in each Kingdom Hall.

This song is probably going to be the most popular one they sing in '08.

Oh gosh! Now I won't lose that song for days!
That yeartext reminds me of me a few decades back that went something like "Stand Still and see the salvation of Jehovah." The more things change, the more they stay the same.
