Every day that I strap my gun to my hip. But, it has nothing to do with contempt.

    Yep,

Twice. One day I heard a shot ring out behind my house and grabbed my gun, a single-shot twenty-two rifle and stepped out the back door to find out what was going on. What I saw was my puppy well within my yard flipping around and screaming in agony. My next door neighbor was standing by his house and drawing a bead on my puppy with an automatic twenty-two rifle. I immediately brought my rifle to my shoulder and drew a bead on him. He spotted me and dove for cover. that was the only thing that saved his ass! He new that I was a marksman and all I needed was one shot to put a round right through his eye at the forty yards or so which separated us. He survived that day and so did my dog. But I was angry enough to pull that trigger!

The second time was at the kingdom Hall. I had challenged the decision of a judicial committee in their case involving my teen-age daughter. I'd requested an appeals committee, something they'd denied, and the case went all the way to the Governing body where I won and got the appeals committee. By the way, I understand the case set a precedence. Well, the presiding elder of that committee was allowed to set up the appeals committee on the condition that all the elders be from other congregations. He chose the members, set up the committee, ordered potential witnesses for the hearing to be out of town on the day of the hearing, and informed of the Governing body's decision and the hearing one day before the hearing. at the hearing he was allowed to interrupt me and call me a liar whenever he wanted to, lie without me being allowed to challenge his lies, and otherwise bully my family and the appeals committee members right in front of us without a challenge.

It got even worse in the "secret" portion of the hearing where he was so loud I could hear him bully the appeals committee through two walls! And that was before we were dismissed so that the appeals committee retired to make its decision.

Well, some weeks later we were informed of the decision against our daughter on the Sunday of the CO's visit. The whole committee met with my wife and I, My daughter was never allowed at any of the occasions where a decision was announced on her case. The presiding Elder really rubbed it in that he'd won, despite my success with the appeal to the governing Body. When I pointed out to him that much of what he'd written in the Committee's letter to the society in their attempt to keep us from getting an appeal was nothing but lies, he admitted "Yes, the circuit overseer agreed with you about that. But when I told him that you'd copped an attitude and stormed out two previous committee meetings he let me have my way."

When I pointed out that was he'd just said was itself a lie, his reply was "This is my congregation, and if you don't like the way I run it, then you can just walk right out that front door and never come back!" the man was yelling when he said that, never mind he wasn't the presiding overseer of the congregation.

I was so fed up with the whole deal that I just became enraged and all I could think about was how good it would feel to wrap my arm around his neck and snap the damn thing. Sure, he was flanked by two brothers, but they couldn't of stopped me and would've ended up badly hurt if they'd tried. And one of them knew it, he'd seen me disarm a man with a knife and had an idea of what I could do. But my wife put here arm through mine and said "their's no use Forscher. Let's get out of here! and she pulled me out of the room.

Incidentally, the elder who chaired the Appeals committee was rewarded a few months later with an appointment to the position of C.O., something he'd been trying to get for years, further evidence that despite our getting the appeals committee the fix was in from the very top. You have no Idea how much it tickles me that he didn't last long in the circuit work and was put out of the work within a year or two. It was one of the shortest careers in the circuit work I know of.
